Slumdog Millionaire
I first saw the pirated movie version in Bangladesh, and then got to see it on the big screen during opening weekend in India. I loved the movie; won't say anything more. Go see it! Plus, it's a glimpse into this side of the world.
Having received several nods at recent awards shows, the movie is causing a sensation in India. There's harsh criticism there too-- "India does not have poverty like that." It's not everywhere. But, I'm pretty sure it wasn't just movie sets!

HI Cindy! I continue to thoroughly enjoy your Bugs and Beauty blogs. Chris I went on our second movie date to see SlumDog based on your recommendation (and it was my turn to pick the movie!) We both enjoyed it very much. I plan to share your photo of the cricket games w/ my co-workers. The demand for sports fields in Svale exceeds the amount of open space, and we only have one Cricket field in town. Could use more! I hope you have chance to visit west coast relatives upon your return stateside. You may want to 'decompress' before jumping back into the work/school fray. love, Aunt CathyM
